AIR 2009 – Presentation on Collaboration between IR and IT

IData attended the 49th annual Association of Institutional Research (AIR) Forum in Atlanta, Georgia in June 2009. We presented a session titled “Fostering Collaboration and Communication between Institutional Research and Information Technology” where we discussed the importance of clear specifications and an open dialog between the two departments. In the presentation, we discussed a variety of tools and processes that can be used to improve the communications and get better results from requests made of Information Technology. IData will be presenting an updated version of this presentation at AIR 50 on May 31st, 2010 in Chicago (Forum Website). We will also be doing a demo of the recently launched DataCookbook.com – the only data management tool designed specifically for higher education.
