Mobile Access for Banner

The Mobile Access for Banner session explores the feasibility, demand, and potential for mobile broadband connectivity with higher education administrative systems. Through a collaborative project between the University of Mary Washington and IData, Incorporated, a suite of custom Self Service Banner (SSB) forms were created to provide access to select Banner functionality via web-enabled cell phones or other mobile devices. The session will cover the methodology used to build and publish the forms along with an analysis of the demand and potential for a mobile web interface with student information systems.
