It has been a little over a year since we sent out our last IData Ink newsletter, and it has been a very unusual year. For most of you, it has been a difficult year managing reduced budgets with increased demand by students. The budget problems don’t appear to be going away any time soon and that has led all of us to do some creative thinking about how to serve students and employees in new, innovative ways.

Lessons Learned - Managing big projects on tight deadlines

Georgetown University needed a custom preregistration system that streamlined student selection and scheduling while increasing staff efficiency, improving the student advisement process and enhancing course demand planning. Knowing that Georgetown’s staff faced a gauntlet of challenges, the IData team worked closely with a core team of project stakeholders to meet the university’s goals.

Colleges and universities who have modified SunGard’s Banner baseline code (either by modifying baseline objects directly or by creating a copy of the object and modifying this copy) are often faced with extra challenges when a new release of Banner is delivered. Banner Mobile Access
