Implementation Services
For our clients implementing new higher education ERP systems, IData offers a variety of services designed to increase project success. These include project management, business process analysis, and custom training.
- Project Management – Using our experience with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) methodology, IData will help to bring your project to completion on schedule, on budget, and within scope.
- Business Process Analysis – Project success begins with good requirements. Our extensive experience in the higher education environment allows us to work closely with both users and IT staff to identify accurate, appropriate, and achievable requirements.
- Custom Training and Mentoring for Technical Staff – IData can provide custom and targeted training and mentoring for your staff. We offer hands-on “Guided Development Seminars.” These seminars are a combination of training, consulting, and mentoring. Each seminar will cover a desired learning topic by combining lecture, team development, and mentored individual work on your institution’s actual development projects.
- Data Structures Training – IData can deliver custom training to your staff that is designed to allow them to understand, research, and find the data stored within your administrative ERP system. IData has worked with many institutions and developers over the years to help them better understand their existing data structures, and to utilize all of their existing data research tools. Most of the higher education ERP systems contain tens of thousands of individual data fields. The secret behind accessing this information is to understand the high level data models, and then to learn how to research and track down precisely the data that you need.
- Data Migration Services – During a new enterprise system implementation, IData will work with your implementation team to migrate your legacy data in to your new system. This includes more than just mapping and development, but also business process analysis, testing coordination, documentation, and go-live support.
