Brian Parish

Brian S. Parish, PMP - President

As the owner and president of IData, Inc., Brian is a well-respected thought leader in the Information Technology (IT) and Institutional Research (IR) industries for higher education. Brian has worked directly with over 100 colleges and universities to increase their productivity with creative and innovative custom technology solutions. Since 1995, Brian has worked with most of the major higher education ERP systems (SunGard Banner, Datatel, PeopleSoft, Campus Vue, etc.), as well as integrations with countless reporting tools and other applications used by higher education institutions.

Tyler Spires

Tyler Spires - Sr. Technical Consultant

Tyler worked at Datatel on the Colleague Student / Core Software product as a software developer for 5 years maintaining and making enhancements to the Student Registration system. He spent three years at Wittenberg University helping maintain the Colleague and Benefactor products, their portal and their mail system. Tyler spent the last two years working with IData primarily with the Sunguard Banner product making customizations for clients.

Louis Guillaume

Louis Guillaume - Sr. Technical Consultant

Louis is an information technology professional with an extensive background in higher-education enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, Unix systems and applications development. Louis has worked with Datatel’s products for over 10 years and has written numerous customizations, reports, batch processes, workflows and integration processes to satisfy a large, diverse and very demanding user community. He always seeks to improve the performance, security and stability of the systems he works on.

Scott Flory

Scott Flory - Director of Reporting and Partner Services

Scott is the Director of Reporting and Partner Services at IData Incorporated. He has over 15 years experience in providing solutions to higher education through technology. Formerly employed by Datatel, Scott is now with IData, leading the development of IData’s Reporting Services.

Ken Dezio

Ken Dezio - Chief Technology Officer

As IData’s Chief Technology Officer, he heads the company’s Innovative Products Division and is responsible for creating exciting new software applications such as the Data Cookbook. He has 13 years of experience designing, developing, and consulting on higher education administrative software and has worked with a variety of different systems, languages, and tools. Ken has a MS in Technology Management from George Mason University and a BS in Chemistry from University of Maryland.

Debbie Head

Debbie Head - Sr. Institutional Research Consultant

Debbie brings an in-service institutional research perspective to the IData team. She has over 25 years as a practitioner in the field of IR and systems reporting. Her expertise focuses on services that assist institutional research, institutional effectiveness, and/or information management departments to effectively retrieve, manage and deliver information. Debbie’s past experience includes long-time IR director at Kennesaw State University, consultant at SunGard, and other private consultations.

Andy Berry - Director of Operations

Andy’s mission as IData’s Director of Operations is to focus on improving the experience of our clients, employees, subcontractors, and vendors as they interact with the company.  With more than ten years of project and program management experience in a variety of fields, Andy keeps the administrative, marketing, and operations arms of IData running smoothly.

Marc Carrion - Project Director

Marc is a senior systems analyst, programmer, and DBA with comprehensive experience in higher education information technology and administrative systems. His specialties include: analysis, development, database administration, system integration, and reporting for student information systems (primarily SunGard SCT Banner and Oracle).

Jonathan Morgan - Sr. Web Developer

Jonathan is a journalist, programmer and systems architect who specializes in dynamic web applications and systems integrations. He has worked in higher education for much of his career writing Colleague documentation, making university systems better integrate regardless of platform or language, and teaching community journalism. Currently, he is a University Enrichment Fellow at Michigan State University pursuing a PhD in Media and Information Studies, and he has a Masters in Newspaper Journalism from NYU and a BA in Computer Science from Wittenberg University.

David McAndrews - Sr. Technical Consultant

When David joined IData in mid-2007, he brought with him a strong background in higher education technology with an emphasis on software development, systems integration and customization. As a former employee of Datatel for over nine years, he obtained a wealth of knowledge and experience as a programmer in many areas of the Colleague system and also spent time as a lead technical analyst working directly with clients to resolve their unique problems and system issues. David enjoys utilizing his specialized insight and problem solving skills to help our clients meet their needs and he is always looking forward to a challenge whether it is the design and implementation of a simple system customization, an import, export or integration process, or tackling other complex issues and database related projects. His formal education includes a BS in Computer Science from William & Mary.

Sue Kumpf, Innovation Strategist

Sue is the Innovation Strategist for IData, Incorporated with a primary focus on the company’s Innovative Product Division. She has over 30 years experience in higher education and her strengths include leadership, solution strategy and planning, continuous improvement, and customer service. Prior to joining IData, she was the Director of Product Management at Datatel.

Darren Curry - Director, Consulting Services

Darren has been working in the higher education field for over 15 years. He managed both large and small Datatel projects at Loyola College for 10 years as a Senior Programmer/Analyst. In 2007 he moved to IData, Inc as a Senior Technical Consultant and later became the Director of consulting services, managing Datatel projects for various clients. He holds a BBA in Information Systems and an MS in Computer Science from Loyola College in Maryland. Darren is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
